Endurance Tests  and Physical Standards

Leading Fireman, Fire Engine Driver, and Fireman

Must be in good physical health, able to handle demanding tasks, and have completed the following physical fitness tests:

Physical Standards

165 cm in height, 81.5–85 cm in chest, and 50 kg (minimum) in weight

Endurance Test (Skill Test):

  • 183 meters in one minute and thirty-six seconds, a firefighter lifting a man weighing 65.5 kilograms
  • 2.7 meters wide ditch cleared, landing on both feet (long jumps)

Eligibility Criteria for Army ASC Center South

Candidates must have passed the comparable exam from a recognized board or their matriculation.

Vehicle Mechanic

Leading Fireman

  • Matriculated from a recognized board or obtained an equivalent.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining a wide range of extinguishers, hose fittings, fire appliances, equipment, fire engines, trailers, pumps, and foam branches is required.
  • Must be qualified to lead, direct, and oversee the operation of the “B” crane in addition to having the autonomy to oversee a shift.
  • A basic understanding of the firefighting techniques used to put out various kinds of fires is required.
  • Must be familiar with both foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to complete the tasks assigned to the fire crew members.
  • Ideally have completed a fireman training and received certification from a reputable organization.

General Terms and Guidelines

Prospective candidates are requested to submit their applications in the format provided, duly sealed in an envelope bearing the words “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF __,” with the name of the post to be applied for and the category listed on the left side of the envelope top.
