The seventh series of Rick and Morty has been an exciting ride, with plenty of action and cameo appearances in addition to some new voice-acting talent in the main roles.

We’re currently working on season 9, and I would never have let go of the excessive amount of excellent work that was in the works. Since I’m incredibly proud of what season 7 even allows people to witness.”

The Expected Plot of Rick and Morty Season 8
With Rick Delving Into Profound Questions About the Afterlife in Season 7, Killing Jerry in An Experiment, and Getting Entangled in A Plot with The Pope, the Chaotic Series Is Sure to Include Even More Characters and Adventures, Though the Specifics Are Still to Be Worked Out.
Co-creator Dan Harmon, though, hinted in an interview with The Verge that season 8 will feel unique given the changes the animated series has undergone. Harmon stated: “I think it will be even more so when season 8, which is already written, comes out. Season 7 just represents one more brick in that road.
It will seem like a “we’re back, baby” kind of moment and a return to normal, and hopefully season 9 will be that but, you know, even more so. However, it will be because we’ve been gradually trying to regain the wind in our sails.”
According to the official Rick and Morty synopsis, Rick is an eccentric old man with a gift for science who is mentally unstable and has just recently made contact with his family. He spends most of his time taking his young grandson Morty on wild, perilous space and alternate universe adventures. These incidents add to Morty’s already turbulent home and school life, making him very distressed.

Rick and Morty Season 7 Recap
In a “Carnival of Nightmares,” Rick and Morty enter a Denny’s with a Fear Hole, a portal revealing the greatest fears. Morty confronts Rick’s fear of happiness with Diane, but they end up trapped in a loop. Morty faces fears, and Rick, realizing they’re dying, prioritizes Morty over Diane. They escape, but find themselves stuck in the Fear Hole repeatedly. Over time, a montage unfolds, showing Rick and Morty aging, Morty turning into his dad, only to realize they’re still in the Fear Hole. Morty uncovers his fear of Rick not valuing him, ultimately escaping the Fear Hole.
Rick, curious about Diane, refrains from jumping in, and Morty, grateful to be back, hugs Rick. In a post-credits scene, Mr. Poopybutthole steals a portal gun, replacing a happy version of himself in another universe. The episode concludes with a suspicious look from that universe’s Amy.
