Selection Process:

Requirements for Education and Eligibility:
- Having an active driver’s license for both light and heavy cars.
- Understanding of the vehicle’s motor mechanism (the applicant should be able to fix small flaws).
- A minimum of three years’ worth of experience operating both light and heavy vehicles.
- Get a recognized board or institute certification for the tenth grade.
- Three years of Home Guard or Civilian Volunteer service is a desirable qualification.
Salary/ Pay Scale:
Together with allowable allowances [Rs 5200-20200 (Pay Band-1)+ Grade Pay Rs 1900 under Pre-revised scale], the pay matrix outlined in Part A of the schedule of the CCS (Revised Pay) Rules 2016 ranges from Rs 19900 to Rs 63200 in Level-2.
