Recruitment Selection Procedure for the Rourkela Steel Plant in 2023
The Computer Based Test (CBT) in Hindi/English, which is to be administered on the designated date, will be mandatory for all qualified applicants. Comprising two segments, the CBT will comprise one hundred objective-type questions, fifty of which will assess general awareness and fifty technical knowledge.
Ninety minutes would be allotted for the CBT.
50 percentile score for unreserved/EWS posts and 40 percentile score for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/PWD posts will be used to determine the minimal qualifying marks in the CBT. In each case/discipline, the qualifying marks will be computed individually.
Based on merit, in a ratio of 1:3, candidates who pass the CBT for the aforementioned positions will be shortlisted for the skill test/trade test. All candidates will be invited to participate in the skill test or trade exam if they achieve the cut-off marks.

Selection Criteria for SAIL Rourkela Recruitment 2023

Boiler Operator (S-3) Operator-cum-Technician
Three years of matriculation on a full-time basis Diploma from an institution recognized by the government in the field of mechanical, electrical, chemical, power plant, production, or instrumentation engineering.
Competency Certificate for First-Class Boiler Attendants.
Electrical Supervisor-Operator-Technician (S-3)
Three years full-time since completing matriculation Electrical engineering diploma from a government-recognized institution.
Competently operating in mines requires a legitimate Electrical Supervisory Certificate (Mining). (As per sub-regulation (1) of regulation 29 of the Central Electricity Authority (measures relating to safety and electric supply) Regulations, 2010, the Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency should encompass mining installation.
Electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and devices (including overhead and underground transmission lines, cables, transformers, circuit breakers, panels, switchboards and their accessories, and allied equipment) repair, overhaul, and maintenance experience (minimum of one-year post-qualification). This experience should be gained through the installation and operation of such systems and equipment.
Cum,An attendant(Trainee) Technician:
Graduate of a government-recognized institute with matriculation and ITI (full-time) in the relevant trades of electronics, plumbing, information technology (IT), programming, programming assistant (CoPA), or informatics.
