Sports eligibility is established by assessing a player’s merit according to predetermined standards. This assessment takes into account the following:
- Representing a university in inter-university tournaments run by the Inter-University Sports Boards; representing state school teams in national sports and games for schools hosted by the All India School Games Federation; and representing a state or the nation in any of the national or international competitions involving any of the games or sports mentioned in paragraph 5.
