Selection Process for CAT Recruitment 2023
Selection Process: By the Tribunal Reforms Act 2021, a Search-cum-Selection Committee was established to recommend names for appointment to the aforementioned posts. The Committee will review applications to determine whether applicants are qualified for the positions, taking into account their experience and qualifications. It will then shortlist candidates for in-person interviews. The Committee’s comprehensive assessment of each candidate, which took into account their credentials, background, and interpersonal interactions, will be the basis for the ultimate decision.
The qualifying candidates will also receive notification in due course regarding the precise Date, Time, and Location of the examination/interview; these details will also be accessible on the Central Administrative Tribunal’s official website.

CAT Recruitment 2023 Educational Qualification
Administrative Member
Candidates are required, per the official notification, to possess The Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021 shall establish the qualifications, eligibility, remuneration, and other terms and conditions of the appointment of a candidate.
The Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021, specifically Rule 3(5)(b) state that an individual cannot be appointed as an Administrative Member unless they have held the position of Additional Secretary to the Government of India or any higher position in the Department of Legal Affairs or the Legislative Department, including Member Secretary, Law Commission of India.
The Central Administrative Tribunal’s Application Process
Application Process: Eligible and willing officers are requested to submit their applications through the appropriate channels (if applicable), and their applications must include the following:
(i) biodata in the proforma at Annexure-l;
(ii) certificate to be provided by the employer, head of office, or forwarding authority as per Annexure-Il;
(iii) clean photocopies of the officer’s most recent CR/APAR dossier, which includes CR/APARs for at least the last five years, duly attested by a Group A officer;
(iv) Clearing the cadre
(v) A declaration outlining any major or minor sanctions the officer may have received over the last ten years, if any;
(vi)An integrity certificate or clearance from the vigilance and disciplinary angle as listed in Annexure-Ill;
