The Eligibility Criteria for CISF Driver Recruitment
Education Qualification
The candidate must be a graduate of an Indian board that is recognized, have earned an equivalent degree, or passed the 10th grade.
Driving license:
A valid driver’s license is required for the following types of vehicles: (a) light motor vehicles; (b) heavy motor vehicles or transport vehicles (HMV/TV); and (c) motorcycles with gears.
Experience:
Three years of experience operating heavy, transport, light, and motorbike motor vehicles. The calculation of experience for driving above will begin on the day the corresponding licenses are issued.

Procedure for CISF Driver Selection
Before the Detailed Medical Examination (DME), there are the following two recruitment steps. On the CISF website, a list of candidates who have been provisionally selected will be posted according to post and category. The written examination’s merit will determine the final choice.
Step 1: Documentation, Trade Test, and PST/PET.
Stage 2: A multilingual online written test in both Hindi and English will be administered via OMR Base/CBT.
Candidates will take the Height Bar Test as part of the CISF Driver Physical Standard Test (PST). Candidates who pass the Height Bar Test qualify for the CISF Constable Driver Physical Standard Test (PST).
Physical Standards: 167 cm in height and 80–85 cm in chest
Test of Physical Efficiency for CISF Drivers (PET)

Written Exam for CISF Drivers
The CISF Constable Driver Written Examination will be administered in the OMR/Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode to the candidates who meet the requirements in the PST, PET, Documentation, and Trade Tests. One hundred objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQ) will comprise the written test, which carries 100 marks and needs to be completed in two hours. Negative marking is not permitted. Questions on the CISF Constable Driver will be designed to evaluate the following:
- General knowledge and awareness.
- Understanding of basic mathematics.
- The capacity for analytical aptitude to recognize and identify patterns.
- A basic knowledge of Hindi and English.
The following will be the minimum percentage of marks needed to advance to the next stage:
- Ex-Servicemen, UR, and EWS: 35% of the total.
- 33% for SC, ST, and OBC.
