Selection Process
The Air Force Agniveer Vayu 01/2025 selection procedure will be concluded with the following tests:
- Medical Standards Test
- Physical Fitness Test
- Written Exam
The general health criteria for both male and female Agniveer Vayu candidates are as follows:
Height: 152.5 cm is the minimum height that is permitted.
Chest: A minimum of 5 cm can be expanded.
Weight: Depending on age and height.
Hearing: The candidate should be able to hear naturally, meaning that each ear can distinguish a forced whisper at a distance of six meters.
Dental: At least 14 dental points, a decent set of teeth, and healthy gums are required.
Visual standards: PRK/LASIK corneal surgery is not appropriate. visual specifications as needed by Indian Air Force guidelines.
Physical Fitness Test (PET) of Agniveer Vayu
To be eligible for the Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2023 PET, both male and female candidates must meet the following requirements:
Male candidates must finish the 1.6 km run in 7 minutes, and female candidates must finish in 8 minutes.
Within 7 minutes for men and 8 minutes for women, complete 10 pushups, 10 situps, and 20 squats.
Selection Process
Phase 1: Online Test
To appear in the selection test, eligible candidates will receive provisional admit cards for Phase I of the test via their registered email addresses 48–72 hours before the exam. They will download and print the admit cards in color, bring them to the testing location on the day of the online exam, and follow the instructions on each card.
Through the candidate’s login on the CASB website, https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in, the candidate can also download this provisional admit card.
The online test will be objective, with bilingual questions in both Hindi and English, except for the English paper.
The online test will be administered in a single sitting on the same system to applicants who choose to take both science and non-science subjects. Applicants must bring their authentic AADHAR card and one blue or black pen to the Phase I testing.
The following are the test’s specifics: –
(a) Science Subjects: The online test will last 60 minutes and cover English, Physics, and Mathematics by the CBSE syllabus for 10+2.
(b) Subjects Other Than Science: Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) and English according to the CBSE 10+2 syllabus will be covered in the 45-minute online test.
(c) Science and Non-Science Subjects: The online test will last for 85 minutes total and include Reasoning and General Awareness (RAGA) as well as English, Physics, and Mathematics according to the 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
(d) Marking pattern for online test:-:
- (i) For each right response, receive one mark.
- (ii) No points for a question that is not attempted.
- (iii) For every incorrect response, 0.25 points will be taken away.
Phase 2: Selection
A cut-off will be applied shortly after the Phase I (online) test results are announced, and candidates who are shortlisted will get a new admit card for the Phase II test at a scheduled ASC via their registered email addresses.
Through the candidate’s login on the CASB website, https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in, these admission cards for the Phase-II exam can also be retrieved online.
The following documentation must be brought with the candidate when they report at the designated ASC on the date and time specified for Phase II:”-
(a) Phase-II admission card printed in color.
(a) After completing the online registration process, download the properly completed application form and print it in color.
(c) Writing instruments: black/blue ballpoint pen, glue stick, stapler, eraser, sharpener, and HB pencil.
(d) Eight copies of the passport-size color photo that was used for the online application registration, but without authentication.
(e) Four self-attested photocopies of the matriculation passing certificate in addition to the original (needed to confirm the candidate’s identity, father’s name, and birthdate).
(f) Original and four self-attested photocopies of the matriculation marks sheet (applicable only to holders of three-year diplomas in which English is not a subject).
(g) The original certificate of passing the Intermediate, 10+2, or equivalent examination, as well as four self-attested photocopies of the marks sheet. OR The original diploma from the three-year diploma program, along with four self-attested photocopies, and the mark sheets from each semester. OR The original certificate of completion from a two-year vocational course, along with four self-attested photocopies, along with all mark sheets from non-vocational courses including English, Physics, and Mathematics.
(h) A certificate for sons of active, retired, or deceased civilian Air Force personnel is available for SOAFP (Son of Air Force Personnel).
(j) The original Phase-I admit card, which bears the invigilator’s signature and the Air Force seal, was utilized during the Phase-I test.
(k) Four self-attested photocopies of the NCC “A,” “B,” or “C” certificate in addition to the original (if applicable).
Education/ Eligibility Criteria
Science Subjects:
- Candidates must have received at least 50% of their total points and 50% of their English marks in the Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent test, which included mathematics, physics, and English and was administered by Education Boards approved by the Central, State, and UT governments.
- OR Completed a three-year engineering diploma program (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, Information Technology) from a Central, State, or UT-recognized polytechnic institute, earning 50% of the total points possible and 50% of the points in the English language course (or intermediate/matriculation, if English is not a subject in the diploma program).
- Option 1: Completed a two-year vocational course with non-vocational subjects like mathematics and physics from Education Boards approved by the Central, State, and UT; 50% of the marks were earned overall, and 50% went toward English in the vocational course (or intermediate/matriculation, if English wasn’t a subject).
Other Than Science Subjects:
- Passed the Intermediate, 10+2, or equivalent exam in any stream or topic from Education Boards approved by the Central, State, and UT with at least 50% overall and 50% in English. Or
- A minimum of 50% in aggregate and 50% in English in the two-year vocational course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in the vocational course) must have been passed from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT
